Frequently Asked Questions

What paper sizes are supported?
All tools support ISO A-series (A3, A4, A5, A6), ISO B-series (B4, B5), US sizes (Letter, Legal, Tabloid, Executive, Folio, Half Letter), and JIS sizes (B4, B5). You can also enter custom dimensions in millimeters. Each tool defaults to A4 or US Letter based on your locale.
Can I adjust the margins for my printer?
Yes. Each tool offers margin presets (None, Narrow, Normal, Wide) plus a custom option where you set top, right, bottom, and left margins independently. The 'Normal' preset (about 12.7 mm) works well with most home and office printers. Use 'None' if your printer supports borderless printing.
What is Graphics mode?
Graphics mode lets you add decorative patterns from Spectra (our pattern art generator) to your printable paper. You can place patterns in zones — top, bottom, left, right, or as a background watermark — and control the zone size. This is great for custom journal pages, decorative stationery, or unique worksheets. Graphics mode is optional; Paper Only mode produces clean, unadorned paper.
Are the generated PDFs accurate enough for professional use?
Yes. All dimensions are calculated in PDF points (1/72 inch) and rendered as vector graphics in the PDF. Grid lines, dots, and staff lines are mathematically precise — a 5 mm grid will measure exactly 5 mm when printed at 100% scale on a properly calibrated printer. For best results, ensure your printer's scaling is set to 'Actual size' or '100%' rather than 'Fit to page'.
Do I need an internet connection to use these tools?
You need a connection to load the page initially. After that, all paper generation and PDF export happens entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to a server. You can generate and download as many pages as you need without further network requests.
